OHJAMIE X GENERAL PANTS CO X BIG DAY OUT 2012.
Earlier this week I got an email asking if I’d like to be the official blogger for Big Day Out 2012 covering the festival for General Pants Co. Naturally I said yes… straight away. So where do we go from here?
I’ll be attending BDO in Melbourne this Sunday, I’ll kick off the day with a bit of Hunting Grounds the rest of the day will be a bit scattered but I’m looking forward to OFWGKTA, Röyksopp, Architecture In Helsinki, Hill Top Hoods, Girl Talk, Foster The People and *drum roll*………… KANYE WEST! I don’t want to get my hopes up but chances are I’ll be meters away from Kanye in the media pit. Might have to bring out my Givenchy Rottweiller sweater just for him.
So sit back and prepare yourself for a (hopefully…) epic blog post which will also be featured on the General Pants Co website.

It’s been a while since my last tattoo, so I gave my buddy Grant (who’s one part in band Brothers Hand Mirror) a buzz and set up a ‘stick and poke’ tattoo date.
I guess I should explain the meaning behind this new tattoo? “Where nobody can save me ’cause the smoke is my baby, baby” originally a Lykke Li lyric from the song ‘Rich Kids Blues’ but the way I saw it or interoperated it – was a description of my love for the big city, being in the middle of the hustle and bustle where everything is happening – the ‘big smoke’ and my lust to make it to New York on my own terms – where nobody can save me.
Oh and Grant has a really sweet Tumblr blog HTML/FLOWERS with pictures of his tattoo work, lyrics and poems and an all ’round journal of his life living with CF. You should really check it out and give him a follow.

Break from work resulted in a visit to Alice Euphemia’s sale… I left with the Ellery leather jacket that I’ve been eyeing off for months and Michelle left with a Dress Up leather top.
If you haven’t checked out the sale you seriously need to go in soon – shit is flying off the shelves. I practically had to battle a friend I ran into for this jacket (sorry Steph!).
